Magma Collective – Think-and-Do Tank

working on technologies for empowering people in relation to the systems and infrastructures that affect their lives. We are currently working on: peer-to-peer cloud system, CoBox (funded by the EC Ledger grant); social key recovery mechanism, Dark Crystal (funded by Open Technology Fund); and advisory work for the European Commission on distributed ledger technologies and future data-intermediaries.

Assistant professor / ESRC Research Fellow – Durham University Geography Department

currently researching and writing about the political economies of hacker-engineers, cryptographic geographies and considering the merits of quantum social theory. I am developing a research project about digital surveillance and new constructions of ‘nature’.
